Devin Murphy , Public Policy & Communications Manager

Devin Murphy is the Public Policy and Communications Manager at White Coat Waste Project (WCW), where he manages federal government relations and helps drive their public policy initiatives.

Devin comes to WCW after serving as Legislative Director for Rep. Matt Gaetz (FL-01), a devoted animal lover and a two-time WCW “Waste Warrior” awardee. Devin’s diverse portfolio included judiciary matters, war powers, and animal issues, which helped make him aware of the vast amount of taxpayer-funded wasteful and cruel animal experiments performed by the federal government.

Working with colleagues on both sides of the aisle, Devin helped push the Dept. of Veterans Affairs to phase out wasteful dog testing and halt the Food and Drug Administration’s $22 million nicotine addiction tests on monkeys. He worked closely with WCW throughout his time on the Hill, and was proud to receive WCW’s “Accountability All-Star” award in 2018.

Devin lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with his girlfriend, Jackie, and his dog, Donut. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, hiking, and collecting a vast array of neckties.
